We had an absolute amazing trip to GBR with the ocean freedom crew. Great big lunch, stringer suits for the whole family. We felt very safe both onboard & in the sea. My children loved the crew, T was a special favourite ❤️ I would highly recommend to friends & family

Ik wilde graag een keer met een zeilschip het rif op. Wind is dan wel erg gemakkelijk en gelukkig is het schip dan ook uitgerust met een dieselmotor. Voordeel van weinig tot geen wind is dat je wel prima omstandigheden hebt om te snorkelen. Ik had de tour geboekt op een nogal rustige dag waardoor de boot nog niet voor de helft bezet was. Dit maakte het eigenlijk alleen maar beter. De gidsen hadden hierdoor extra veel tijd om veel uit te leggen en wat meer persoonlijke aandacht te geven aan iemand die het nodig had voor het snorkelen of duiken. Green Island was eigenlijk het minste van de tocht. Gelukkig werd de mogelijkheid geboden om hier maar kort te blijven om wat extra tijd snorkelend door te brengen. Hele vriendelijke gidsen met veel kennis wat de dag tot een succes maakte. De snorkel locatie is namelijk niet de meest interessante aangezien je met de zeilboot niet heel ver het rif op kan. Door de expertise van de gidsen werd het wel degelijk de moeite waard en ik ga zeker nog een keer mee.

We did this tour with the Ocean Freedom team, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They are incredibly professional and attentive. The entire crew paid close attention to our needs throughout the trip.As someone who isn’t a confident swimmer, I was quite nervous about scuba diving. However, my instructor Ambrose guided me patiently, stayed by my side, and made sure I felt completely comfortable in the water. Thanks to him, I had an amazing experience.We also went snorkeling and saw sharks, turtles, and many other beautiful marine species. I was absolutely thrilled by the end of the trip. My friends and I loved every moment of it. They also thoughtfully accommodated my vegetarian meal request, which I really appreciated.

Great snorkeling tour. Was an overcast day but it didn't slow anything down. Had a glass bottom tour first off and that was a great suggestion on their part. Wonderful talk about the reef, it's inhabitants and protection of the area. Then we did a guided snorkel followed by a snorkel in a marked area. The lunch was fantastic and the snacks plentiful.... you need it with the swimming! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable - was a great fun and relaxing day!

Captain Mike and crew were fantastic and made the day fun. Easy ride to the reef and great info provided about the reef on the glass bottom boat tour. Enjoyed the snorkeling and felt very safe based on the instructions provided. Fresh food and drink really hit the spot at lunch and the snack on the way back was perfect! Definitely recommend this experience!!

What a fantastic experience on the Ocean Free. The crew Matt, Shea and Storm couldn’t have done more for us. They were knowledgeable, kind, friendly and genuinely seemed to love what they do. Matt skippered the boat combining sail and motor for a unique reef experience. Shea guided me through my first ever Scuba dive and wow, it was amazing. She led me to giant clams, a turtle, heaps of amazing reef and fish and even a reef shark! I am really not confident in deep water but she made it so safe and calming for me. Unfortunately, my husband developed an eardrum issue whilst in the water and the crew were so kind and helpful to him. Thank you so much Ocean Free x

Highly recommend choosing Ocean Free for your Great Barrier Reef tour. The guides and team were helpful, kind (to us and each other!), thoughtfully inclusive (aka safe & fun, regardless of comfort in the water!).I'm not a very confident swimmer & am afraid of being in open ocean/water - they were reassuring & also set us up with water guides towing a bouy for me & my mom to swim so we could enjoy the snorkeling while also feeling safe within our comfort zones. Many others dove solo/in pairs within the designated area and had a fabulous time as well. The food and refreshments were also wonderful throughout.Highly recommend choosing this team for your trip!

We went out on the Ocean Freedom today and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From start to finish everything was enjoyable, beautiful, and extremely well run. The crew was professional, friendly, and made the entire day feel relaxed and seamless.The scenery was stunning and the food truly exceeded expectations. It was some of the best food I have ever had on an excursion like this, which really stood out.You can tell the team genuinely cares about delivering a world class experience. I would highly recommend Ocean Freedom to anyone visiting Cairns and wanting an unforgettable Great Barrier Reef experience.

Phenomenal service and spectacular way to get out to the reef for a day trip. We were looking for a way to see the barrier trip in a more intimate way with a smaller crowd and a fun crew. Oceans free delivered! Great food fun crew and same like minded folks choose this tour. 10/10 would recommend these guys.The dive site it self was a bit more limited but still wonderful. Got to see a mako shark, a sea turtle, and giant clams.

We had an amazing day at the Great Barrier Reef and can’t recommend this company enough. The crew are wonderful and truly make your day special. From check-in to the end of the trip, you feel genuinely welcomed and well looked after.We did the full-day tour to Upolu Reef and Upolu Cay, with plenty of snorkelling time. The instructors were very patient and professional, which made it perfect for families and anyone who isn’t very confident in the water. There are multiple instructors in the water with life rings, and they really take the time to support everyone.We enjoyed a glass-bottom boat tour before snorkelling, and during the snorkelling tours we saw green turtles, starfish, sea cucumbers, lots of fish, and beautiful coral. The crew are extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating information about the reef and marine life throughout the day. Our skipper, Ben, is a marine biologist, which added even more to the experience.Special thanks to Maree, Tory, Tee, Anna (and the rest of the crew, I wish I remembered all the names. And sorry if I misspelled any names) for being so friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout the day.Lunch was generous and delicious, with chicken, smoked salmon, prawns, pasta salad, potato salad, and more, followed by a third snorkelling stop after lunch. There were also plenty of snacks on the way back, including fruit, cheese and crackers, and cakes, so you definitely won’t go hungry.In between the tour times there is opportunity to snorkel on our own. And there was fish feeding by a crew member where we got to see more fish from the boat.We travelled with our 11-year-old daughter, and the crew took excellent care of us, making the day relaxed and enjoyable as a family. If you want an outstanding, well-organised, and family-friendly Great Barrier Reef experience, Ocean Freedom is the tour to book.We will definitely be back for another tour. I wish I brought an underwater camera. And we will be doing the scuba dives next time.A huge thank you to the Ocean Freedom crew. Keep up the fantastic work!

We went on the Ocean Free Tour today. It was absolutely fantastic! Like really worth the money, from start to finish every part was really well thought through and quality. We had the option to snorkel or dive, we had a fabulous lunch provided with snacks throughout the day like cheese and biscuits/cake/ fresh fruit platters. The team were SO accommodating and extremely knowledgable. We would highly recommend Ocean Free in Cairns. We were all super impressed

Great work everyone and thank you for making this a life time snorkeling experience.Overall arrangement, seating, food options (plenty of food options), beverages, drinks etc was simply great. Snorkeling, Green Island experience supported by stories was a good combination from Ocean Free team.Highly recommended for everyone.

Fantastic experience overall! Quality family-feel experience. They limit their passengers to 65 or 75 people so they can get to some green reefs that vessels with large amounts passengers cannot go to. It was a very personal experience and all of the staff were very friendly.We did 2 scuba dives and the divemaster was well organized and professional. The experience was well worth the money for getting 2 dives at the Great Barrier Reef! I can't say much about the snorkeling, but the folks that snorkeled seemed to enjoy it well.

This was an amazing tour to the Great Barrier Reef! The Skipper was so great at his job and very protective of his guests making sure we were safe! The staff was amazing and right there with us in the water! The food was perfect and the extra plates of fruit & desserts that were passed during the day was such an extra treat. We would 100% recommend using this company!!!

We went on the Ocean Freedom cruise to Upolu Cay Reef and Outer Edge Upolu reef. It was an amazing day of snorkelling and scuba (opt-in). The staff provided incredible service the whole time with a vast range of food and snacks including some breakfast as the tour started at 8. The reefs were gorgeous and the staff on the guided snorkels were very knowledgable on the marine life. In particular Marie and Alma went above and beyond in providing an excellent reef and boating experience. They have sea sickness pills (non drowsy) available for purchase which was very useful. If you want to opt in to scuba on the day of as well that is possible and I would definitely recommend. The staff were also meticulous with safety and making sure everybody no matter swim or physical ability was able to see the reef. It is a physical day and can be very tiring but the guides take life rings out on the guided snorkels that can help those in need or if you just need a rest. The only negative was that the boat was not as nice as the one pictured and despite still being a good boat for this tour it was not “luxury” as stated in our booking. We only had 32 people on board but the full capacity is 75 so it may feel more crowded in peak season. Everything else was amazing and I would definitely recommend booking with ocean freedom. They also had a bar where you could purchase drinks throughout the day.

10/10 staff. Even in the less than ideal weather conditions they did an excellent job taking care of us.The boat was great too. Well kept and offers a nice mix of fully enclosed spaces, covered and fully exposed.My biggest recommendation (not specific to this boat or operator): Take a seasickness pill. Even if you think you’ll be fine… Take it.

We did the Ocean Free Sail to Green Island & the Great Barrier Reef and booked two introductory dives and two certified dives. It was a great day, and the staff were very attentive to everyone on board. The number of people is quite limited because it’s a sailboat, which is really nice. There is a shaded area on the boat where you can relax. Lunch was good. The vibe was great, and the dives were very enjoyable as well, it felt much more intimate than on bigger boats.A big thank you to our divemaster Anna, who found my partner’s dive watch in the ocean and sent it back to us by post (to France). That was incredibly kind, thank you so much.You can book this company and this trip without hesitation. Thank you again!

The best boat trip I've ever been on! Highly recommend!We opted for the 2 scubadives.Boarding 7:30 for 8am departure. Pastries, fruit and hot drinks were available on board.Lovely boat, clean and decent space for everyone.We had an intro talk for the scuba while we were making our way out to the first reef.The first dive lasted around 25 minutes. We had one instructor to 2 people and they linked arms and guided us around the reef. We saw a shark and various other fish.Then there was time for snorkeling and a glass bottom boat trip.Whilst snorkeling we saw a turtle and jellyfish.Lunch was a selection of prawns, salmon, meat, pasta, salad etc. it was delicious.We then headed to the 2nd dive site. Usually on the 2nd dive you may get chance to swim independently with instructor supervision but the current was so strong we stayed together same as the first dive. There wasn't as much to see here but we did see a stingray. Again lasted about 20 mins.There was more time for snorkeling before heading back.On the way back there was fruit, cheese and crackers and cake!The crew were all friendly, professional, organised and clearly take safety seriously.The sea did get a bit choppy but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, for most of the day it was fairly flat but after lunch the waves picked up.This trip was the highlight of my holiday! Would highly recommend and would do again!

Me an my partner did the trip to the reef with snorkeling and introductory diving sessions and we had such an unbelievable time. From start to finish everything was amazingly well organized, nothing was too much trouble for the staff! The food was a great addition and there was more than enough to keep you going, actually more than expected!We would like to say a special thank you to Tori who took us diving, she was the best teacher we could've wished for. She made us both feel extra comfortable and explained everything and looked after us whilst keeping the whole thing fun, so thank you Tori for making our trip!The glass bottom boat was also really well done and the lady who took us (sorry we've forgotten your name) explained how the reef works and talked us through the fish, the coral and everything else we spotted on our trip out in the the glass bottom boat.We would recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to try this experience it genuinely was one of the best trips of our travels to Australia.John & Jess

A perfect day on the Great Barrier Reef with Ocean Freedom. Crystal water, vibrant coral, and endless smiles. 💙🤿I have been scuba diving in many locations before but today was truly special. Of course, the Great Barrier Reef is always remarkable on its own, but what made this experience exceptional were the two fantastic dive instructors I had—Archie in the morning and Amber in the afternoon.The entire crew was outstanding as well. With Ryan as the skipper and Storu, Reece, Marie, and Shea as part of the team, everything ran like clockwork. Went out today with my partner, after loooking at various options, the idea of a smaller boat with less passengers really stood out to us. We made the right decision! The crew were so fantastic, helpful and bloody friendly! Made us feel very welcome! Sometimes the biggest isn’t always the best…. It’s a credit to the crew from shore and onboard Ocean Freedom! We really enjoyed our excursion! It was our first time diving and Garrett, Riz, Shea, Anna and their entire crew made things easy. They were very knowledgable, courteous and fun to work with. We saw so much colors and wonders under the water. Family-owned and eco tourism certified are very important to me and my partner. Ocean Free ...what a fantastic tour. The tour size was small enough to be comfortable and personal, the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and oh so helpful. The site for the snorkelling was colourful and we saw so much...leopard shark, turtle, many fish and on the way back blessed with a dolphin following after the boat. The sailing boat was comfortable and the lunch and afternoon tea most welcome. I felt safe and was so relaxing. Thank you Ocean Free team... Captain Mike, Archie, Daniel and Maria. Fantastic!

Just returned from an outing with Ocean Freedom...if you have only one day in Cairns and only want to do one thing, book a trip with Ocean Freedom! The staff were absolutely delightful and helpful and enthusiastic! Excellent for even beginner snorkellers! The catamaran was spacious and comfortable. The food was good and more than enough to sustain your activities. Alcohol from 1145hrs...though there was no need for any alcohol to have an absolutely fabulously fun time! Try it! You will not regret going on Ocean Freedom.

Ocean FreeWow, I went to Cairns with pretty high expectations after hearing about friends great experiences. Me and friends arrived at our port number and were greeted by a really pleasant enthusiastic crew. Throughout our 2 hour boat journey to Green Island Blair and his crew couldn’t not of been any more attentive or informative to us all. After our briefing I got in the sea and was given some help by Paul as I’d never done any snorkelling and me and others were helped so much. Paul is unbelievable he could not have been any more reassuring in the water.Once we finished with Green Island we got back to the boat and the customer service was amazing again. The whole crew were ten out of ten.The whole experience was incredible and made even more amazing by Blair and his crew. I will definitely be back and I will specifically book with Ocean Free again. I have flown over from the UK and i am overjoyed with my trip in Cairns.Thank you so much to Blair, Paul, Kelly & Oli.

Absolutely recommend Ocean Freedom if you are looking for a snorkel/diving trip at the great barrier reef.Everything worked so well with this operator and their staff was really friendly and looked after us so well.The ocean was pretty rough when we went on the trip but the crew gave their best to still show us a lot of fishes and sea turtles.Big thank you for this amazing crew and experience.

The trip started with pastries in the lower deck and ended with cakes being served right at where we sat, mix in between exploring and enjoying the Great Barrier Reef, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World!The crew pays attention to the needs of people, from guiding non-swimmer to enjoy the reef to leading strong swimmers to more exciting locations, one thing we can all feel, was the care of safety of everyone and the surrounding environment.It’s a smaller boat, which means that the crew member to the passengers ratio is greater! Good news to all of us😆!The Wonder Wall of the Upolu Reef was fun and the waters are calm, which means you can really enjoy the snorkeling experience.On the way back, it was one surprise after another, started out with the fruits, then the cheese and crackers and finally a the cakes.Did I mention the lunch?Anyway, you are here for the reef experience, which is awesome, and all these food are just cherry on the top!Great job Ocean Freedom!And BTW, Happy Birthday to our Captain, Ryan, on the day we participated!Only downside, a group of people who are not considerate and occupied the stern as if they own it!Everything else was great!

Great experience with Ocean Freedom. The Upolu reef was stunning and filled with a lot of diverse fish and coral. The glass bottom boat was led us to see some sea turtles and sharks. The crew was knowledgeable and very sweet. Kelly especially helped us with our first dive and made us feel comfortable (highly recommend diving!!). They treated us to a good lunch and lots of snacks.

We had a full day on the water going to Upolu reef, snorkeling. Staff were excellent and made the trip fun for myself and my older teenagers. Saw tons of corals and fish and three sea turtles including one that swam within inches of my daughter. All in all, a great trip.

Where do I even begin! I was honestly a bit nervous for this day because of my fear of the ocean and my tendency to get seasick but I was definitely not prepared for what was coming. This day ended up becoming the highlight of my trip with my husband and the most beautiful, special experience of my life, all thanks to the incredible Ocean Freedom team. We had the most amazing trip with Ocean Freedom 13.11.25. All the crew were great, really friendly, helpful and made you feel very safe in the water. Snorkeling was fantastic, we were supplied with all equipment ( wetsuit, snorkel and flippers). Glass bottom boat was good and then we seen turtles and reef sharks. Food was great too. Would highly recommend as we have made memories for life. Thank you ocean freedom.

Can’t recommend this company enough! We had an amazing day on the Great Barrier Reef and Green island. I brought my parents visiting from London and the crew were so lovely and accommodating. We last minute decided to go scuba diving on the reef and it was a great experience. We saw so many reef sharks, giant trevelly, giant clams. The team were very friendly and professional. Green island was also absolutely beautiful, lunch was great and we had a fabulous day. Worth every penny!

The crew — Kelly, Archie and Ollie, skippered by Blair — were outstanding: professional, friendly, funny and clearly focused on safety.I was nervous about snorkelling as it had been years, but Blair and Kelly were so reassuring that I decided to give it a go — and I’m so glad I did. The reef was stunning, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.Lunch was delicious, Green Island was beautiful (we even visited the Croc Park!), and the return sail with cheese, biscuits, cake and wine was the perfect finish.A wonderful day with a wonderful crew — thank you Ocean Free! What a great day! The whole team on Ocean Freedom did all they could to give us the best experience. Dive Instructors were really helpful and guides for snorkeling were knowledgeable and a great help for those less confident in the water. To have seen a big Manta and Green Turtle at the site was amazing. The drift snorkle found more giant clams and different fish again. A quality buffet lunch was followed by a second reef site, different to the first and even more fish varieties. The team took safety really seriously and provided a guide rope for snorklers as there were more waves and quicker current. To have snorkeling guides in the water with you was a great feature. Loved the fruit, cheese and biscuits and cake on the way back in, a nice touch for a fantastic value day. As a family owned business Ocean Freedom punches well about it's weight, many thanks to Skipper Ryan and the whole crew, a brilliant advert for this experience.

We had an amazing tour to Green Island and the nearby Reef with the Ocean Free crew. Nice to be in a smaller tour and on a sail boat. We really felt like we were on the water instead of being inside a cabin. The crew was professional, helpful and thoughtful. We saw lots of fish and a large turtle. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience, we had such a lovely cruise!! The crew is amazing, they are so tentative, always looking to ensure we had the best experience possible. They would give you pointers on what to do, when to do it and answer any question. The entire experience is very flexible, we were able to book diving on the spot, and they also had a glass bottom boat for prople that did not want to enter the water as well as any of the scuba/snorkeling people if they wished to join. They prioritize everyone getting back safely, while sharing their love and apreciation for the marine life.

I have been scuba diving in many locations before but today was truly special. Of course, the Great Barrier Reef is always remarkable on its own, but what made this experience exceptional were the two fantastic dive instructors I had—Archie in the morning and Amber in the afternoon.
The entire crew was outstanding as well. With Ryan as the skipper and Storu, Reece, Marie, and Shea as part of the team, everything ran like clockwork. They made sure everyone on board was well taken care of, always with genuine warmth and a smile.

What a trip! The hospitality was first class, the boat spotless and the food, well we were fed all day long.
I'm a decent enough swimmer but never go out of my depth and to have Mike and Molly guide me when snorkeling whilst keeping me safe and given me the confidence all day, I had the trip of a lifetime! The reef was spectacular, the teams knowledge and expertise was second to none. Never mind seeing so many fish, star fish and the turtle. We had the best day. The crew on board were fantastic. The spot they moored off Green Island was so close to the reef you could almost stand on it. Snorkeling and diving was brilliant. Lunch on board is very impressive. We met some lovely people from all over the world. Sailing back at under full sail with a lovely glass of wine was exhilarating and exciting. We went on this reef cruise today and it was fantastic! The guides were incredible and the food was great- and there was loads of it! We went on a different snorkeling trip yesterday to Green Island and it was nothing compared to Ocean Freedom. The guides were in the water with us showing us all the fish and marine life. My wife, daughter and myself went out on Ocean Freedom on Wednesday 8 Feb 2023. A great day - the Captain and crew were unbelievably helpful and polite. Nothing was to much trouble. Once at the reef a guided glass bottom boat trip then onto with the snorkelling or SCUBA if you wanted. The food was high quality and heaps for everyone. When you thought it was over out came the cheese and biscuits followed by cake. I’ve been on a number of boat tours around the world and this is by far the best. It is highly recommend. Lastly a shout out to crewman Tom who was very patience with my wife and helped her snorkelling experience.

Perfect day out visiting two of the nearby reefs.
The crew are extremely warm, welcoming and a great laugh helping you be at ease wether if it’s your first time snorkelling/diving or somebody used to the ocean.
I did my first (and 2nd) ever scuba dive guided by these guys today and it couldn’t have been any better!

What a great value for money.
We took the family tour and were lucky to be going on a quite day.
First time diving for 2 of us was made comfortable by friendly staff.
Crew was so helpful in making sure snorkelling at 2 different spots was a memorable experience of the reef.We swam with turtles,saw reef shark and plenty of beautiful fishes in the reef.

Personalised Service is only one of the many wonderful experiences we had at The Great Barrier Reef. The crew members were fantastic, giving out information were serious and funny 😆; food 🥘 is delectable 🤤 and the day was perfect . We enjoyed A1 friendly service and an absolutely perfect and memorable experience. I felt completely at ease with the competent staff assisting me with every step I made both on and off the boat. Lunch was delicious and expertly organised. I appreciate the hard work that goes into preparing and executing a safe and enjoyable experience for a large quantity of diverse individuals...you all did this amazingly well. a big shout out to my wonderful support man Liam on Monday 21/6. The best belated 60th birthday present was being up close and witnessing the resident turtle feeding.

What a spectacular day. All the crew were amazing. Chris helping Chaise 13 with his first dive- he went in for second dive he had such a great time. Liam was incredible with Chloe 10- snorkelling and giving her so much information about the reef. Every staff member was exceptional, friendly and helpful. Constantly offered food and drink. Best day trip we’ve ever done.

Unbelievable experience!! If there’s one tour of the Great Barrier Reef you go on, make it this one!! Fantastic staff, who are super helpful and friendly. Staff who are actually in the water with you pointing out different corals, fish and other wildlife. The food is amazing and there’s so much of it. Also the reefs you snorkel are absolutely stunning. 😍

Fantastic day - not only was the reef magnificent but the crew was so friendly and helpful, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We snorkelled 3 times and went in the glass bottom boat, saw so many fish, corals, reef sharks and a turtle. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

I had the most fantastic experience with the very friendly & professional crew on Ocean Freedom! I saw the most beautiful reef fish, a reef shark, a magnificent turtle munching on algae, a stingray & stunning coral. I would absolutely recommend this Far North QLD reef tour! The crew are helpful, snorkel with you & educate you on what beauty is below the surface! The food was also delightful. Would go out again in a heartbeat - the highlight of my holiday! Thanks guys! Had an amazing day out at the Great Barrier Reef today and couldn’t have asked for a better crew Sophie taught us how to scuba and was absolutely amazing and understanding she made us comfortable and took it slow with us. Scott was a great skipper and the whole team was super friendly and funny. Made the whole experience very welcoming. We were able to stop at two areas today to explore what this beautiful place has to offer and lunch on the cruise, and snacks throughout the day. The crew also taught us about the wildlife and cool facts along the way. Would highly recommend these guys!

What a fantastic day guys. You made us feel so safe and welcome onboard your boat and in the water all day. The crew were always looking out for us and making sure we new what was happening and how to use all the gear they gave us. If you have never been to the Great Barrier Reef, or been swimming with the wonderfull sea creatures in Tropical North Queensland these are the people you want to do it with. This crew were hands down the most attentive crew I’ve ever encountered! EVER! In the whole tourism industry. Huge statement that I truly endorse unconditionally!
A crew that were Caring, dedicated, knowledgeable and respectful of people with severe allergies and disabilities! They were patient with beginners, adhered to cleanliness and covid safe parameters. Just an amazing day on the reef with the crew of Ocean Freedom.
So much fun and these guys are total professionals.
Great saftey protocols with maximum fun the whole day.
Our many snorkels were wonderful with great comentary and guidance if desired. All the crew were so knowledgeable about the reef and its inhabitants. Scuba dives with Lou & Rose were so good great guides and they were so caring fot all divers.
Food was fabulous and there was plenty to go around.
The whole crew were so frienly, interactive and really well organised.
Our day was perfect and we would love to travel again with the Ocean Freedom Family. Thanks guys for a very memorable day!

I was booked on this tour by my travel agent. I had found another cruise by decided to let the agent do the booking work for me. My tour was on 12th August.
From the moment of checking in, I was treated like a VIP for a day. A joke of "permission to come aboard" at the pier started a relaxing day of cruising the reef, 2 introduction dives of scuba diving, snorkelling, great food, and even better, fantastic staff.
I had not dived since 1987 and my instructor Jen took me through the process and I was both excited and nervous about entering the water. Jen made me completely at ease, and I loved every second of my two dives.

We just can't say enough about these guys! The crew were just BLOODY AWESOME! They took us to a place on the reef that wasn't heavily populated by other tour boats so we were spoilt for choice. We got to spend 6 hours in the water snorkelling. There were always guides with us showing us around and sharing information about the marine life around us. Glass bottom boat tours were included.

In between we were kept well fed and watered. Lunch was really good. Simple food, seafood, cold meats and salads but fresh and good quality👍 Morning and afternoon tea was also provided.

The boat wasn't overly packed out either. Plenty of room to move around. If you have 1, DEFINITELY bring a GoPro with you. I hung out with a green sea turtle for a good half an hour and wish I could've captured some of that experience.

An awesome laid back Nth QLD experience at its finest! We will be back again for sure!

of all the tour choices for seeing and experiencing the reef, we were somehow lucky enough to have found THE BEST! From beginning to end, the most professional crew , and pristine boat ( we were on the power cat). we had a personal dive master Yatti, who's expertise and direction made us feel safe and well looked after! Thanks heaps mate! Rosie led our guided snorkelling tour and was extremely knowledgeable about the reef, and pointed out all the highlights! Didn't miss a thing! The food aboard was top notch too.. 5 plus stars out of 5!! what a team!

Unforgettable Christmas Adventure !

We highly recommend the Ocean Freedom and their team. They strive to ensure your day is fantastic, safe and memorable. We had a wonderful experience on the introductory to scuba and appreciated the safe system in place to give first time scuba divers a trip of a lifetime. The passionate and enthusiastic crew made sure we had what we needed with gear and instruction. The onboard breakfast, lunch and snacks were delicious. Excellent Ozzie hospitality extended with passing the afternoon snacks around so no one missed out.
We valued the lower number of passengers on board resulting in spectacular memories to last a lifetime. Many thanks for an absolutely awesome experience!!

What a great experience!! What they tell you in their brochure is what you get for the full 100% and more! Paul gave us a briefing of the day which he did with a lot of humor. When we got to the reef we started off with the glass bottom boat. Lou was amazing she explained everything you needed to know about the reef. Doing this first was great because you knew what to expect. After that we jumped into the water for some snorkeling for more than 2 hours. We went on a snorkel tour with Mat which was great. He showed us everything we needed to see. After the tour you could explore the reef by yourself. When we got back on the boat a perfect lunch was prepared for us with prawns, smoked salmon, chicken and some nice salads.
After lunch we headed off to another spot where we again snorkeled for about 2 hours.
After this we cruised back to harbour with fruit and snack served.
Overall.... it was an amazing day!
Thank you guys for making this trip unforgettable!

First time diving and couldn’t have asked for better staff. Chris was patient and guided us past the nerves. We had a great time. Ben and Eva were fantastic. If you are looking for a smaller group tour and excellent service then go here. Also the food was fantastic. We had lunch, later we stopped for wine and cheese, and before returning we finished off with dessert. We definitely had an incredible experience. Highly recommended.

My friend and I took a snorkeling tour with them today and it was AWESOME! The staff were the BEST! They were very attentive to everyone’s level of snorkeling and diving! The worked very hard! The food they served was also amazing! They had coffee and pastries for breakfast, served lunch and it wasn’t sandwiches, served cheese and crackers throughout trip along with fruit, figs, deserts and whatever you water along with other drinks!! I would highly recommend them! You would be missing out on a great experience if you didn’t book with them! Thanks to all for a spectacular day!!

my mum and mines first experience and what an experience! staff so welcoming and made us feel at ease while both doing our scuba, we would of tested patience with our learning skills but we did not feel judged!! I've been trying to break my wife into scuba and needed to find a charter that would take good care of her. Ocean Free did not disappoint. For her first dive ever they took great care to make sure she felt confident in the water and that we all had an amazing experience. The crew was nothing short of exceptional and diving the reef was the experience of a lifetime. The excursion to Green Island and the crocodile park was a nice bonus for those less inclined to be in the water as well. Couldn't be happier.

Amazing amazing amazing the hi light of our Cairns visit Pasquale The skipper went to great lengths to make our trip memorable Chris entertained us with stories (ask him how far a 200klm lake is) and made us Dave Mathews fans.
