10/10 staff. Even in the less than ideal weather conditions they did an excellent job taking care of us.The boat was great too. Well kept and offers a nice mix of fully enclosed spaces, covered and fully exposed.My biggest recommendation (not specific to this boat or operator): Take a seasickness pill. Even if you think you’ll be fine… Take it.

Great experience the condition weren’t that great but that didn’t stop up. They made you feel safe and looked after a very well oiled operating, professional crew and skipper can’t speak highly enough for there knowledge of the ocean and onboard vessel experience. Will do again.

We did the Ocean Free Sail to Green Island & the Great Barrier Reef and booked two introductory dives and two certified dives. It was a great day, and the staff were very attentive to everyone on board. The number of people is quite limited because it’s a sailboat, which is really nice. There is a shaded area on the boat where you can relax. Lunch was good. The vibe was great, and the dives were very enjoyable as well, it felt much more intimate than on bigger boats.A big thank you to our divemaster Anna, who found my partner’s dive watch in the ocean and sent it back to us by post (to France). That was incredibly kind, thank you so much.You can book this company and this trip without hesitation. Thank you again!

The best boat trip I've ever been on! Highly recommend!We opted for the 2 scubadives.Boarding 7:30 for 8am departure. Pastries, fruit and hot drinks were available on board.Lovely boat, clean and decent space for everyone.We had an intro talk for the scuba while we were making our way out to the first reef.The first dive lasted around 25 minutes. We had one instructor to 2 people and they linked arms and guided us around the reef. We saw a shark and various other fish.Then there was time for snorkeling and a glass bottom boat trip.Whilst snorkeling we saw a turtle and jellyfish.Lunch was a selection of prawns, salmon, meat, pasta, salad etc. it was delicious.We then headed to the 2nd dive site. Usually on the 2nd dive you may get chance to swim independently with instructor supervision but the current was so strong we stayed together same as the first dive. There wasn't as much to see here but we did see a stingray. Again lasted about 20 mins.There was more time for snorkeling before heading back.On the way back there was fruit, cheese and crackers and cake!The crew were all friendly, professional, organised and clearly take safety seriously.The sea did get a bit choppy but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, for most of the day it was fairly flat but after lunch the waves picked up.This trip was the highlight of my holiday! Would highly recommend and would do again!

Me an my partner did the trip to the reef with snorkeling and introductory diving sessions and we had such an unbelievable time. From start to finish everything was amazingly well organized, nothing was too much trouble for the staff! The food was a great addition and there was more than enough to keep you going, actually more than expected!We would like to say a special thank you to Tori who took us diving, she was the best teacher we could've wished for. She made us both feel extra comfortable and explained everything and looked after us whilst keeping the whole thing fun, so thank you Tori for making our trip!The glass bottom boat was also really well done and the lady who took us (sorry we've forgotten your name) explained how the reef works and talked us through the fish, the coral and everything else we spotted on our trip out in the the glass bottom boat.We would recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to try this experience it genuinely was one of the best trips of our travels to Australia.John & Jess

Had a great day out. The kiwi trio crew kept us well fed and looked after. The sail boat is a bit rough on the edges, I guess you have to expect that with a boat of that age. Highly recommend.

Amazing day with Ocean Free. The crew were top tier - from diving the GBR to onboard service, Blair, Kelly, Marie and Ryan were awesome! When the motor decided to take a break on the way back in the afternoon, they were cool and calm while they worked diligently to sort out the issue.Highly recommend this small, personalized experience for anyone visiting Cairns - especially for diving. The dive groups were small (max 4) so we didn’t feel like we were diving on top of each other. Must do for your trip to Cairns!

A perfect day on the Great Barrier Reef with Ocean Freedom. Crystal water, vibrant coral, and endless smiles. 💙🤿I have been scuba diving in many locations before but today was truly special. Of course, the Great Barrier Reef is always remarkable on its own, but what made this experience exceptional were the two fantastic dive instructors I had—Archie in the morning and Amber in the afternoon.The entire crew was outstanding as well. With Ryan as the skipper and Storu, Reece, Marie, and Shea as part of the team, everything ran like clockwork. Went out today with my partner, after loooking at various options, the idea of a smaller boat with less passengers really stood out to us. We made the right decision! The crew were so fantastic, helpful and bloody friendly! Made us feel very welcome! Sometimes the biggest isn’t always the best…. It’s a credit to the crew from shore and onboard Ocean Freedom! Thank you so much!! We will be back and we will tour with you again!

We really enjoyed our excursion! It was our first time diving and Garrett, Riz, Shea, Anna and their entire crew made things easy. They were very knowledgable, courteous and fun to work with. We saw so much colors and wonders under the water. Family-owned and eco tourism certified are very important to me and my partner. Happy to have found them and would definitely return and dive with them.

Ocean Free ...what a fantastic tour. The tour size was small enough to be comfortable and personal, the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and oh so helpful. The site for the snorkelling was colourful and we saw so much...leopard shark, turtle, many fish and on the way back blessed with a dolphin following after the boat. The sailing boat was comfortable and the lunch and afternoon tea most welcome. I felt safe and was so relaxing. Thank you Ocean Free team... Captain Mike, Archie, Daniel and Maria. Fantastic!

Just returned from an outing with Ocean Freedom...if you have only one day in Cairns and only want to do one thing, book a trip with Ocean Freedom! The staff were absolutely delightful and helpful and enthusiastic! Excellent for even beginner snorkellers! The catamaran was spacious and comfortable. The food was good and more than enough to sustain your activities. Alcohol from 1145hrs...though there was no need for any alcohol to have an absolutely fabulously fun time! Try it! You will not regret going on Ocean Freedom.

Ocean freedom was incredible!! The crew was amazing and so much fun. I signed up to scuba dive last minute and even though I freaked out, they were so patient with me and eventually I did it. Couldn’t recommend them enough 25/10!!!!

Ocean FreeWow, I went to Cairns with pretty high expectations after hearing about friends great experiences. Me and friends arrived at our port number and were greeted by a really pleasant enthusiastic crew. Throughout our 2 hour boat journey to Green Island Blair and his crew couldn’t not of been any more attentive or informative to us all. After our briefing I got in the sea and was given some help by Paul as I’d never done any snorkelling and me and others were helped so much. Paul is unbelievable he could not have been any more reassuring in the water.Once we finished with Green Island we got back to the boat and the customer service was amazing again. The whole crew were ten out of ten.The whole experience was incredible and made even more amazing by Blair and his crew. I will definitely be back and I will specifically book with Ocean Free again. I have flown over from the UK and i am overjoyed with my trip in Cairns.Thank you so much to Blair, Paul, Kelly & Oli.

This team turned a not so great day weatherwise into an enjoyable and insightful experience. Absolutely recommend Ocean Freedom if you are looking for a snorkel/diving trip at the great barrier reef.Everything worked so well with this operator and their staff was really friendly and looked after us so well.The ocean was pretty rough when we went on the trip but the crew gave their best to still show us a lot of fishes and sea turtles.Big thank you for this amazing crew and experience.

The trip started with pastries in the lower deck and ended with cakes being served right at where we sat, mix in between exploring and enjoying the Great Barrier Reef, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World!The crew pays attention to the needs of people, from guiding non-swimmer to enjoy the reef to leading strong swimmers to more exciting locations, one thing we can all feel, was the care of safety of everyone and the surrounding environment.It’s a smaller boat, which means that the crew member to the passengers ratio is greater! Good news to all of us😆!The Wonder Wall of the Upolu Reef was fun and the waters are calm, which means you can really enjoy the snorkeling experience.On the way back, it was one surprise after another, started out with the fruits, then the cheese and crackers and finally a the cakes.Did I mention the lunch?Anyway, you are here for the reef experience, which is awesome, and all these food are just cherry on the top!Great job Ocean Freedom!And BTW, Happy Birthday to our Captain, Ryan, on the day we participated!Only downside, a group of people who are not considerate and occupied the stern as if they own it!Everything else was great!

Great experience with Ocean Freedom. The Upolu reef was stunning and filled with a lot of diverse fish and coral. The glass bottom boat was led us to see some sea turtles and sharks. The crew was knowledgeable and very sweet. Kelly especially helped us with our first dive and made us feel comfortable (highly recommend diving!!). They treated us to a good lunch and lots of snacks.

We had a full day on the water going to Upolu reef, snorkeling. Staff were excellent and made the trip fun for myself and my older teenagers. Saw tons of corals and fish and three sea turtles including one that swam within inches of my daughter. All in all, a great trip.

Where do I even begin! I was honestly a bit nervous for this day because of my fear of the ocean and my tendency to get seasick but I was definitely not prepared for what was coming. This day ended up becoming the highlight of my trip with my husband and the most beautiful, special experience of my life, all thanks to the incredible Ocean Freedom team. We took this tour on the 2nd of November and every single member was so involved in making sure everyone had the best experience. Honestly, the most amazing crew ever.A special shoutout to Reece — for someone like me who can’t even dip her face into a 3-ft deep pool, he somehow made me feel calm, safe, and confident enough to snorkel in the middle of the ocean. Because of him, I got to experience a world I never thought I’d be brave enough to see. Abbiamo fatto con loro una stupenda escursione sulla grande barriera corallina di un intera giornata. Partenza ore 8:00 e rientro ore 16:30. I ragazzi sono attenti e preparati. Le escursioni sono ben gestite e sicure per tutti i livelli. Forniscono loro tutta l'attrezzatura necessaria come mute pinne e maschere. Das Team war super freundlich und tat alles dafür, uns einen schönen Tag zu bereiten. Dank der aufmerksamen Betreuung fühlten wir uns jederzeit sicher – es waren immer mehrere Augen auf die Taucher und Schnorchler gerichtet. Neben dem Mittagessen gab es immer wieder kleine Snacks wie Obst, Cracker und Kuchen. Die Ausrüstung war sauber und gepflegt. Insgesamt hatten wir einen großartigen Tag!

Super recomdable! Para hacer buceo snorkel o disfrutar del viaje por la barrera de coral (te dan todo lo necesario). Te enseñan zonas que tienen bien estudiadas para ver tortugas, mantas, muchísimos peces de colores y diferentes corales. El personal muy atento y divertido, buena gente!. We had the most amazing trip with Ocean Freedom 13.11.25. All the crew were great, really friendly, helpful and made you feel very safe in the water. Snorkeling was fantastic, we were supplied with all equipment ( wetsuit, snorkel and flippers). Glass bottom boat was good and then we seen turtles and reef sharks. Food was great too. Would highly recommend as we have made memories for life. Thank you ocean freedom.

Can’t recommend this company enough! We had an amazing day on the Great Barrier Reef and Green island. I brought my parents visiting from London and the crew were so lovely and accommodating. We last minute decided to go scuba diving on the reef and it was a great experience. We saw so many reef sharks, giant trevelly, giant clams. The team were very friendly and professional. Green island was also absolutely beautiful, lunch was great and we had a fabulous day. Worth every penny!

Good & informative briefings. We felt safe at all times. The weaker swimmers were given the appropriate attention. Morning & afternoon snacks were just as advertised. Lunch was peal & eat shrimp, chicken legs, salad. Glass bottom boat talk was informative, we finally saw the turtle that we had missed while snorkeling. I will recommend to all the snorkel tour. I don't think the scuba divers got anything more that couldn't be done by snorkel.

We sailed on the Ocean Free on November 8th and had the most incredible day! The crew — Kelly, Archie and Ollie, skippered by Blair — were outstanding: professional, friendly, funny and clearly focused on safety.I was nervous about snorkelling as it had been years, but Blair and Kelly were so reassuring that I decided to give it a go — and I’m so glad I did. The reef was stunning, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.Lunch was delicious, Green Island was beautiful (we even visited the Croc Park!), and the return sail with cheese, biscuits, cake and wine was the perfect finish.A wonderful day with a wonderful crew — thank you Ocean Free! What a great day! The whole team on Ocean Freedom did all they could to give us the best experience. Dive Instructors were really helpful and guides for snorkeling were knowledgeable and a great help for those less confident in the water. To have seen a big Manta and Green Turtle at the site was amazing. The drift snorkle found more giant clams and different fish again. A quality buffet lunch was followed by a second reef site, different to the first and even more fish varieties. The team took safety really seriously and provided a guide rope for snorklers as there were more waves and quicker current. To have snorkeling guides in the water with you was a great feature. Loved the fruit, cheese and biscuits and cake on the way back in, a nice touch for a fantastic value day. As a family owned business Ocean Freedom punches well about it's weight, many thanks to Skipper Ryan and the whole crew, a brilliant advert for this experience.

Unbelievable experience. The crew - Archie, Bird, and Storm were super fun, helpful, insightful, and courteous. We did the 2 intro dives and not having anything else to compare to it, I still wouldn't want to experience it with any other crew. We had an amazing tour to Green Island and the nearby Reef with the Ocean Free crew. Nice to be in a smaller tour and on a sail boat. We really felt like we were on the water instead of being inside a cabin. The crew was professional, helpful and thoughtful. We saw lots of fish and a large turtle. Highly recommend!

Our experience with the Ocean Freedom was absolutely amazing. The crew serving on 26 Oct were 10/10. Not only they knew what they were doing at all times, but also had a smile on and made the day super easy for all of us. My wife and I went on the Great Barrier Reef and Green Island Tour, and the experience was way beyond our expectations! Amazing experience, we had such a lovely cruise!! The crew is amazing, they are so tentative, always looking to ensure we had the best experience possible. They would give you pointers on what to do, when to do it and answer any question. The entire experience is very flexible, we were able to book diving on the spot, and they also had a glass bottom boat for prople that did not want to enter the water as well as any of the scuba/snorkeling people if they wished to join. They prioritize everyone getting back safely, while sharing their love and apreciation for the marine life.

Incredible, very worth the money, especially the diving. We had a mechanical failure on the day we had booked for ocean freedom, and were essentially given a second day out for free due to the wasted time.Great people working there, very nice, very helpful instructors for intro dives. I was able to enjoy the second dive on day 2 much more after growing pains on the first dive so I recommend doing 2. The instructor for both was great though, book here.Also good snacks/food.

We chose Ocean Freedom for our reef experience and we were really happy with our choice. The atmosphere on the boat was great, food was delicious and the crew did everything to help. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful september day (just a little bit cloudy at some point) especially on the second reef stop so there was a lot of snorkeling ...

We joined the Ocean Freedom full-day cruise and spent an unforgettable day out on the reef. The weather was perfect and the ocean was absolutely stunning. Even for our friend who was snorkeling for the first time, the instructor was incredibly patient and attentive, which made it easy to relax and enjoy.The only thing I’d say is that the lunch itself probably wouldn’t taste particularly special on land—but somehow, eating it out on the beautiful turquoise sea made it feel surprisingly good.Unlike other snorkeling tours I’ve joined in different countries, where you’re rushed out of the water after 30 minutes, this trip really lets you enjoy snorkeling for as long as you want. We were lucky enough to see a sea turtle that swam right up close—almost close enough to touch!All the crew members were cheerful, caring, and made the entire day so much fun. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely choose Ocean Freedom again next time I’m in Cairns.

Fabulous time with Blair, Dan and Annie! Superstar team that provide us all with a great time.We had a slightly dull weather day but the team was far from dull!! They were informative, caring, humourous and welcoming. 🥳A perfect day on the Great Barrier Reef with Ocean Freedom. Crystal water, vibrant coral, and endless smiles. 💙🤿 I have been scuba diving in many locations before but today was truly special. Of course, the Great Barrier Reef is always remarkable on its own, but what made this experience exceptional were the two fantastic dive instructors I had—Archie in the morning and Amber in the afternoon. The entire crew was outstanding as well. With Ryan as the skipper and Storu, Reece, Marie, and Shea as part of the team, everything ran like clockwork. They made sure everyone on board was well taken care of, always with genuine warmth and a smile. Thank you for an unforgettable day. We had the most amazing trip with Ocean Freedom 13.11.25. All the crew were great, really friendly, helpful and made you feel very safe in the water. Snorkeling was fantastic, we were supplied with all equipment ( wetsuit, snorkel and flippers). Glass bottom boat was good and then we seen turtles and reef sharks. Food was great too. Would highly recommend as we have made memories for life. Thank you ocean freedom.

Had the best diving experience two days in a row and coming back for more. I see something new each time. Such a professional operation. 🌊 I had the absolute best experience on May 22nd with Ocean Free & Ocean Freedom! From start to finish, everything was flawless — the crew was beyond amazing, warm, professional, and full of energy. Their passion for the reef, the ocean, and for ensuring every guest has a magical time was clear in every interaction.
The snorkeling was incredible, the visibility was perfect, and we got up close with so much marine life. The crew made us feel safe, informed, and completely spoiled the entire day — the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch.

What a trip! The hospitality was first class, the boat spotless and the food, well we were fed all day long. I'm a decent enough swimmer but never go out of my depth and to have Mike and Molly guide me when snorkeling whilst keeping me safe and given me the confidence all day, I had the trip of a lifetime! The reef was spectacular, the teams knowledge and expertise was second to none. Never mind seeing so many fish, star fish and the turtle. Would recommend this trip with Ocean Freedom without hesitation. Thank you so much Mike and Molly.

I recently did a Reef tour down at Hamilton Island as my first on the GBR and had a great time.
A trip to Cairns (Palm Cove) meant another trip was due!
Ocean Freedom was recommended to us due to the smaller capacity and attention to detail by people at Palm Cove.
It was an amazing day out. A very full day, 2 reefs, well fed and normally I’d just do my own thing in the water, but opted for the glass bottom boat tour and guided snorkel while there and it was great. As little or as much time as you can handle in the water. Excellent reefs, Green Sea Turtles and Manta Rays were spotted by our family.
Highly recommended for your trip to the reef. Very kid friendly also and all provided equipment was top notch.

We had a wonderful experience sailing on the Ocean Free boat to Great Barrier Reef where we snorkelled and our daughter had her first experience diving. The diving instructor gave great instruction and had a genuine care for his clients and the skipper and crew were focused on giving us the best experience possible. would highly recommend.

We had the best day. The crew on board were fantastic. The spot they moored off Green Island was so close to the reef you could almost stand on it. Snorkeling and diving was brilliant. Lunch on board is very impressive. We met some lovely people from all over the world. Sailing back at under full sail with a lovely glass of wine was exhilarating and exciting. Thanks to all the staff and crew. You made the day for us so easy from booking to leaving. We didn’t want to leave.

We went on this reef cruise today and it was fantastic! The guides were incredible and the food was great- and there was loads of it! We went on a different snorkeling trip yesterday to Green Island and it was nothing compared to Ocean Freedom. The guides were in the water with us showing us all the fish and marine life. Definitely skip Green Island and go with Ocean Freedom!!!!

My wife, daughter and myself went out on Ocean Freedom on Wednesday 8 Feb 2023. A great day - the Captain and crew were unbelievably helpful and polite. Nothing was to much trouble. Once at the reef a guided glass bottom boat trip then onto with the snorkelling or SCUBA if you wanted. The food was high quality and heaps for everyone. When you thought it was over out came the cheese and biscuits followed by cake. I’ve been on a number of boat tours around the world and this is by far the best. It is highly recommend. Lastly a shout out to crewman Tom who was very patience with my wife and helped her snorkelling experience.

Perfect day out visiting two of the nearby reefs. The crew are extremely warm, welcoming and a great laugh helping you be at ease wether if it’s your first time snorkelling/diving or somebody used to the ocean. I did my first (and 2nd) ever scuba dive guided by these guys today and it couldn’t have been any better! Will definitely go with these guys again next time I find myself in Cairns. Thank you!

What a great value for money. We took the family tour and were lucky to be going on a quite day. First time diving for 2 of us was made comfortable by friendly staff. Crew was so helpful in making sure snorkelling at 2 different spots was a memorable experience of the reef.We swam with turtles,saw reef shark and plenty of beautiful fishes in the reef. Glassboat tour, Heaps of time in and on the water and food is served throughout the day. Highly highly recommended.

Personalised Service is only one of the many wonderful experiences we had at The Great Barrier Reef. The crew members were fantastic, giving out information were serious and funny 😆; food 🥘 is delectable 🤤 and the day was perfect . This is my second visit to the Reef and my experience this time is super; smaller groups are better than bigger ones. My grandchildren had a time of their lives snorkelling and creating friendship. We were fortunate to go on both Ocean Free & Freedom and had amazingly beautiful days snorkelling in pristine conditions. I can't speak highly enough of the crew, their priority was fun and safety. Thank you to "welsh" Liam ( I was considering a dive on Freedom if you were there), Matt (great to see you again for both days), skipper Pascal, Chris, "Pete" & skipper Ben. I highly recommend! Absolutely recommend Perry and the team for a great day sailing. We enjoyed seeing some great snorkelling spots and loved the experience of sailing as opposed to sitting like sardines on a much bigger, sterile vessel. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and the food is a plenty! do it!!

We enjoyed A1 friendly service and an absolutely perfect and memorable experience. I felt completely at ease with the competent staff assisting me with every step I made both on and off the boat. Lunch was delicious and expertly organised. I appreciate the hard work that goes into preparing and executing a safe and enjoyable experience for a large quantity of diverse individuals...you all did this amazingly well. a big shout out to my wonderful support man Liam on Monday 21/6. The best belated 60th birthday present was being up close and witnessing the resident turtle feeding.

Had an amazing day out at the Great Barrier Reef today and couldn’t have asked for a better crew Sophie taught us how to scuba and was absolutely amazing and understanding she made us comfortable and took it slow with us. Scott was a great skipper and the whole team was super friendly and funny. Made the whole experience very welcoming. We were able to stop at two areas today to explore what this beautiful place has to offer and lunch on the cruise, and snacks throughout the day. The crew also taught us about the wildlife and cool facts along the way. Would highly recommend these guys!

What a fantastic day guys. You made us feel so safe and welcome onboard your boat and in the water all day. The crew were always looking out for us and making sure we new what was happening and how to use all the gear they gave us. If you have never been to the Great Barrier Reef, or been swimming with the wonderfull sea creatures in Tropical North Queensland these are the people you want to do it with. Great day and worth every dollar. Thankyou team, your awesome.

The Captain & Crew are amazing and made the day perfect while we sat back enjoying the hospitality, checking out the amazing sights at the Reef and enjoying the amazing food. We also made sure we enjoyed some well earned cold beers on the way back after a lot of snorkelling!!

This crew were hands down the most attentive crew I’ve ever encountered! EVER! In the whole tourism industry. Huge statement that I truly endorse unconditionally! A crew that were Caring, dedicated, knowledgeable and respectful of people with severe allergies and disabilities! They were patient with beginners, adhered to cleanliness and covid safe parameters. A more personal approach with all activities - no “herding” of crowds - such a delight. Great facilities and constant supply of beautiful & yummy refreshments. Just an amazing day on the reef with the crew of Ocean Freedom. So much fun and these guys are total professionals. Great saftey protocols with maximum fun the whole day. Our many snorkels were wonderful with great comentary and guidance if desired. All the crew were so knowledgeable about the reef and its inhabitants. Scuba dives with Lou & Rose were so good great guides and they were so caring fot all divers. Food was fabulous and there was plenty to go around. The whole crew were so frienly, interactive and really well organised. Our day was perfect and we would love to travel again with the Ocean Freedom Family. Thanks guys for a very memorable day!

Had a lovely day aboard Ocean Freedom. The crew were all very lovely and knowledgeable. They were happy to drag us around the ocean as it was a bit choppy in the first location. All the staff were happy to explain about the fish and point things out. A great day out. Highly recommended.

I was booked on this tour by my travel agent. I had found another cruise by decided to let the agent do the booking work for me. My tour was on 12th August. From the moment of checking in, I was treated like a VIP for a day. A joke of "permission to come aboard" at the pier started a relaxing day of cruising the reef, 2 introduction dives of scuba diving, snorkelling, great food, and even better, fantastic staff. I had not dived since 1987 and my instructor Jen took me through the process and I was both excited and nervous about entering the water. Jen made me completely at ease, and I loved every second of my two dives.

We just can't say enough about these guys! The crew were just BLOODY AWESOME! They took us to a place on the reef that wasn't heavily populated by other tour boats so we were spoilt for choice. We got to spend 6 hours in the water snorkelling. There were always guides with us showing us around and sharing information about the marine life around us. Glass bottom boat tours were included.
In between we were kept well fed and watered. Lunch was really good. Simple food, seafood, cold meats and salads but fresh and good quality👍 Morning and afternoon tea was also provided.
The boat wasn't overly packed out either. Plenty of room to move around. If you have 1, DEFINITELY bring a GoPro with you. I hung out with a green sea turtle for a good half an hour and wish I could've captured some of that experience.
An awesome laid back Nth QLD experience at its finest! We will be back again for sure!

I entirely enjoyed my day. The crew was amazing, so attentive and helpful. The captain Pascol ( hope I spelled his name right 😁) made sure we all were safe and can enjoy every moment of the day. of all the tour choices for seeing and experiencing the reef, we were somehow lucky enough to have found THE BEST! From beginning to end, the most professional crew , and pristine boat ( we were on the power cat). we had a personal dive master Yatti, who's expertise and direction made us feel safe and well looked after! Thanks heaps mate! Rosie led our guided snorkelling tour and was extremely knowledgeable about the reef, and pointed out all the highlights! Didn't miss a thing! The food aboard was top notch too.. 5 plus stars out of 5!! what a team!

Unforgettable Christmas Adventure !
We highly recommend the Ocean Freedom and their team. They strive to ensure your day is fantastic, safe and memorable. We had a wonderful experience on the introductory to scuba and appreciated the safe system in place to give first time scuba divers a trip of a lifetime. The passionate and enthusiastic crew made sure we had what we needed with gear and instruction. The onboard breakfast, lunch and snacks were delicious. Excellent Ozzie hospitality extended with passing the afternoon snacks around so no one missed out. We valued the lower number of passengers on board resulting in spectacular memories to last a lifetime. Many thanks for an absolutely awesome experience!!

What a wonderful day with this great team! I was not a confident snorkeller and mainly booked so my hubby could have his great barrier reef experience, but ended up getting involved and absolutely loving it! What a great experience!! What they tell you in their brochure is what you get for the full 100% and more! Paul gave us a briefing of the day which he did with a lot of humor. When we got to the reef we started off with the glass bottom boat. Lou was amazing she explained everything you needed to know about the reef. Doing this first was great because you knew what to expect. After that we jumped into the water for some snorkeling for more than 2 hours. We went on a snorkel tour with Mat which was great. He showed us everything we needed to see. After the tour you could explore the reef by yourself. When we got back on the boat a perfect lunch was prepared for us with prawns, smoked salmon, chicken and some nice salads. After lunch we headed off to another spot where we again snorkeled for about 2 hours. After this we cruised back to harbour with fruit and snack served. Overall.... it was an amazing day! First time diving and couldn’t have asked for better staff. Chris was patient and guided us past the nerves. We had a great time. Ben and Eva were fantastic. If you are looking for a smaller group tour and excellent service then go here. Also the food was fantastic. We had lunch, later we stopped for wine and cheese, and before returning we finished off with dessert. We definitely had an incredible experience. Highly recommended.

My friend and I took a snorkeling tour with them today and it was AWESOME! The staff were the BEST! They were very attentive to everyone’s level of snorkeling and diving! The worked very hard! The food they served was also amazing! They had coffee and pastries for breakfast, served lunch and it wasn’t sandwiches, served cheese and crackers throughout trip along with fruit, figs, deserts and whatever you water along with other drinks!! I would highly recommend them! You would be missing out on a great experience if you didn’t book with them! Thanks to all for a spectacular day!!

my mum and mines first experience and what an experience! staff so welcoming and made us feel at ease while both doing our scuba, we would of tested patience with our learning skills but we did not feel judged!! I've been trying to break my wife into scuba and needed to find a charter that would take good care of her. Ocean Free did not disappoint. For her first dive ever they took great care to make sure she felt confident in the water and that we all had an amazing experience. The crew was nothing short of exceptional and diving the reef was the experience of a lifetime. The excursion to Green Island and the crocodile park was a nice bonus for those less inclined to be in the water as well. Couldn't be happier.

Amazing amazing amazing the hi light of our Cairns visit Pasquale The skipper went to great lengths to make our trip memorable Chris entertained us with stories (ask him how far a 200klm lake is) and made us Dave Mathews fans. Pale (excuse the spelling if wrong) very knowledgeable helpful as well. This crew took great care of everyone especially those that didn’t take the tablets a huge thank you guys made this trip the most memorable one we have had, loved the sailing and the crew made the day as perfect as It could be
